Bristol Brunel Academy[1] (formerly Speedwell Technology College) is a school located in the Speedwell area of Bristol and named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It specialises in Communication.

Rebuilding was undertaken in early 2006 by the construction company Skanska, and the academy was officially opened in September 2007 by the Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Mr Ed Balls. Brigid Allen is the Principal of the Academy. Guy Keith-Miller is the Chair of the Council. The Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation which is sponsored by the University of the West of England and Rolls Royce. David Carter is executive Principal of the CLF.
The main school building was designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects. It has an open, innovative design centred around a spacious mall which allows staff to more easily supervise the pupils.
